Leaps & Bounds
Furman University SWYD 2023 Branding Challenge
2nd Place Winner
About the challenge:
Each year the Furman University Art department hosts a 24 hour branding challenge for undergrad and graduate students. The challenge begins with a design brief in which a team of students has 24 hours to design a full marketing campaign for a particular existing brand.
Consisting of print material, video promotions, physical package design and branding elements, the team presents their campaign before a panel of professional judges. The top three team presentations are chosen and awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.
About the brand:
Leaps & Bounds is the result of a branding competition hosted by the Art Department at Furman University. The challenge pitted several teams of designers and creatives in a race to develop a full branding package in just 24 hours. Working through the night, teams read the brief, brainstormed ideas, created visuals and graphic, and crafted prototypes. Each team presented to a panel of judges and the top three brand presentation were awarded.
I had the privilege to lead a team in January 2023. Our brief was to design and a brand a line of food products that put a new twist on the classic PB&J sandwich. Leaps & Bounds is a snack-pack made of peanut butter crackers and types of fruit jam. The product is aimed at individuals needing quick and easy snack for their busy activities. Students, athletes and outdoor enthusiasts can grab a pack of Leaps & Bounds to fuel their day and keep them going.
